Introduction:

Leading waste water treatment systems specialist ACO Marine contracted Image Line Communications’ Maritime, Energy & Offshore division to provide public relations and marketing services in support of its business development strategy.

The challenge:

Image Line works closely with ACO Marine to increase industry awareness of the company, products and services and to ensure that the global shipping industry is fully aware of the upcoming regulatory changes that will impact the treatment of waste water oboard ship.

The solution:

To benefit from the increased media and industry exposure at SMM 2014 exhibition in Hamburg, Image Line organised and managed a press conference to announce the launch of two new wastewater treatment systems. We put together a media pack which included a White Paper highlighting the impact of the impending IMO MEPC regulations on the ship owner. This helped establish the company and its Managing Director, in particular, as a “thought leader” in the global waste management sector.

The result:

Our strong and established relationship with members of the international maritime press resulted in the ACO Marine conference being well attended. Due to our ability to get our clients ‘news’ reported in the press on the day of the event, our client benefitted from increased customer traffic to the stand and gained significant purchasing interest and letters of intent.
