Introduction:

Servowatch, a recognised expert in the manufacture of state-of-the-art marine automation systems, approached Image Line to attract maximum media attention for a product launch during the SMM 2014 event in Hamburg.

The solution:

Image Line worked closely with the chairman and managing director to work on key messaging to a target audience in the merchant and leisure marine industries. It was agreed the best way forward was to organise and manage a series of intimate one-to-one interviews with select members of the international maritime press, during which Image Line was able to set the agenda and direct journalists and editors’ questions to ensure the Servowatch message was conveyed effectively. This was supported with a press pack containing press releases, a ‘White Paper’, company backgrounder and executive profiles.

The result:

Following SMM, Servowatch benefited from wide media coverage relating to its new products. The company also received strong interest resulting in orders for the new technology, ServoCore and Servo Fusion.

The company has now contracted Image Line to implement a full media strategy throughout 2015 and we are currently organising a press event for journalists and editors to visit a Servowatch systems installation aboard a customer vessel.
