Introduction:

After being approached by the UK-based ship manager to provide media relations services for both Newport Shipping and its subsidiary Ecoships, we began implementing a sustained media campaign to increase industry awareness of these two new entrants to global ship management sector.

The challenge:

Image Line works closely with the chairman and managing director to work on key messaging to a target audience comprising the executives of small to medium-sized operators of tonnage in the bulk, tanker and containership segments in order to attract new vessels to Newport ShippinNewport 2g and Ecoships management.

The solution:

Whilst the campaign is on-going, our sustained media campaign has incorporated the generation of a constant flow of information about the Newport 4organisation and its services. This has included press releases, feature articles, the organisation and management of press conferences, and the sourcing and securing of speaking opportunities for key company executives.

The result:

In a relatively short time frame, our targeted and sustained campaigning, resulting in significant ‘column inches’ in most of the trade, technical and vertical media, including Bloomberg and Tradewinds, is resulting in significant market interest in Newport Shipping Group. Many in the shipowning community are now fully aware of the organisation’s strengths in energy efficient, cost effective ship management.

Our strategy has resulted in increased traffic to the company’s website and more subscriptions to its Market Outlook reports. In one day alone, the website registered over 300 ‘hits’ resulting in 70 new subscribers. Newport 5Newport 1
